Super Lustrous Lipstick in Primrose #668

Hey Everyone,

Today's post is about my recent Revlon acquisitions. Four of the products mentioned were purchased from Priceline with the use of their Buy One Get One Free for Revlon lip products and one was purchased at Myer during their one day member sale (in conjunction with a $10 voucher).

I know I am really late getting on the Revlon Lip Butter bandwagon but I have been waiting for a sale like this, given that one of them retail for $21.95 each (relatively expensive compared to prices in America)!

There are some really great reviews and swatches already done within the beauty community so I'll keep my thoughts short and sweet.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
The thing I like about this is the initial shade upon application. On my lips, it goes on a slightly bright peachy/nude colour and has sheer to medium pigmentation. Also the crayon/pencil packaging concept is fun and easy to use. The thing I don't like about it is that it stains a deeper/darker orange shade and it seems to dry my lips upon repeated use.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter
The two lip butters I purchased seems non-drying, goes on with a slightly glossy/shiny finish and the pigmentation is buildable (sheer to medium). The thing I don't like about it is that when I apply it, the actual lip product seems to chip off at the tip in small chunks (as shown in the above pictures), leaving that on my lips or smeared over the silver rim, which can get quite messy.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
I really like these lipsticks! The texture is smooth, is non-drying and pigmentation is medium and buildable. I also like that it doesn't seem to have a distinct scent or taste to it. The thing I don't like about it is that when I apply many layers to build coverage, the product seems to settle within my lip lines and accentuate them.

During my Revlon lip stick expedition, I also wanted to pick up Super Lustrous in Siren and Coral Berry and the Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, but unfortunately the Priceline I was at didn't have those in stock.
