Review - SkinFood & Sukin

SkinFood Skincare and BB Cream
SkinFood Watery Berry Toner

SkinFood Watery Berry Toner
The thing I like about this toner is that upon application, it seems to freshen up my skin (similar feeling to spritzing your face on a very hot day with cool water). It also has a lovely fresh scent to it. I didn't really notice any improvement to my skin in terms of long term hydration (the hydration seems to work temporarily) as I find that once I wash my face, my skin reverts back to its normal state (dry/tightening). However, I think this is relatively inexpensive toner (when purchased in Korea), that can form part of a light skincare routine for normal/combination skin.

SkinFood Peach Saker Toner

This toner claims to remove greasiness on the face to due enlarged pores and excessive sebum and I do find that it removes any excess makeup from my face, however, I think this would be more suited for normal/combination skin types as I find it ever so slightly mattifying my t-zone and cheeks. I have dry to normal skin and find that during the dryer/colder weather, this toner doesn't really work well at hydrating my skin. However, at the moment, it's summer here so I will try to use it up.

SkinFood Royal Honey Hydro Cream

This cream has a clear gel/cream texture and I use this at night after applying my toner.  I find that that it keeps my skin hydrated throughout the night. The texture can seem a bit sticky initially, however, this goes away as the product gets absorbed pretty soon after application. I keep this in the refrigerator and love how cooling the gel feels especially during summer.

SkinFood Black Raspberry Eye Cream

I like this because it keeps my under eye area hydrated throughout the night and day (I don't apply this every morning though). I didn't find it improved or erased my wrinkles (I didn't expect it to), however, I find that the lines under my eyes are not getting worse which is good enough for me. I use this as the last part of my night time skincare routine.

The thing I like about this BB Cream is that unlike most in my collection, it is not too grey based (as you can see in the images above). This shade (#2 Natural Beige) provides a nice warm tone to my face. The coverage is medium and it has a gel/cream like texture. The thing I don't like about it is that it dries pretty quick upon application and therefore harder to blend. I also find that it doesn't keep my face hydrated and by mid-day I feel my face tightening (I get this usually when my face is dry). Also, the packaging isn't very sanitary as it is in a tub.

All the above SkinFood products were purchased by myself with the help of my sister's kind friend who went for a trip to Korea!

Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil

Sukin Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil
I have been wanting to try Rose Hip Oil for quite a while now due to the hype around it. I have now been using this for about 1 week now (as part of my night skincare routine). This was purchased from Chemist Warehouse (I find that they have relatively cheaper regular retail prices on Sukin compared to other stores). Initial thoughts on this oil is that it leaves my skin very soft, supple and hydrated in the morning. The downside is that the oil sits on the surface of my skin until I message it in for about 2 minutes. The texture isn't thick or oily, more like a very light velvety textured oil.

Have you tried any of the above products? If so, what were thoughts on them?
